moving day...

I am happy to announce the move to a new web site. My new place is at:

www.rebeccabphotography.com

I have been planning this move for sometime. I purchased my domain name months ago but for some reason, I have been dragging my feet to set up a web site. I really did not want to maintain a web page and a separate blog. Than I came across a program that does both! Yep, a blog and web page in one - brilliant!!!!

Hope you like my new digs. Still getting used to the new format but so far the view is great.

ms. lauryn - part two...

Finally I am getting to this post!

This was one of the funniest session I have done so far. I shot a 1st birthday party. The theme was lady bugs and mom Sara went all out. I could have spend a good hour photographing all the lady bugs she put up in their home. It was a marvelous sight to see trust me!

One of the best parts is that I got to be in the front row while Ms. Lauryn ate her first cup cake. I guess it pays to have a camera strapped around your neck. I loved her funny faces and the way she tested out the frosting. The cupcakes were a work of art I tell you. All most to pretty to eat - almost. I was lucky enough to take a plate full home and we ate them all.

Sara and her family were very welcoming. I followed people while they ate. Watched kids while they made pillow forts and jumped off beds. Sat back and witnessed a family coming together and celebrating a milestone.

Thank you to the Wood's for making me feel like part of the family that day, I am forever grateful for the experience you gave me.

ms. lauryn - part one...

I am a lucky, lucky girl!

I love the fact that I am able to hang out with wonderful people and I get to capture amazing moments with my camera. There is nothing else in this world that I would rather be doing (if I could cuddle with me kids at the same time I think I would be in heaven).

Lauryn's mom asked me to document her 1st birthday party - how cool is that??? She also wanted to get a few shots of her a few days before the party. We meet one night at a park and had fun playing peek-a-boo.

Both Lauryn and her mom are super adorable. Life and happiness just radiate off of these two. If I was stuck on an island with them, I think they would keep me calm. Plus, I bet their positive attitude would rub off on me.

Here are a few from that session, I will post the "birthday party" session soon.

Those eyes; they melt me.

My favorite picture - I love the made in the usa!

a new adventure...

Tomorrow I have a session like no other. I have been getting ready for this one for over a month. I don't want to give to many details, just wanted to give you something to think about. I hope to post more about it in the next few days.

Wish me luck!

perfection...

This couple makes parenthood look easy. They are laid back, comfortable and seem to have a handle on how thier baby ticks. I don't think I was this easy going when my first was 6 months old - way to go guys!

Another wonderful day in the great North West. We headed down by the water for Sydney's 6 month session. I was excitecd to see mom and baby in vivid colors. Bright colors really pop in photographs. The park was not to busy and the grass was cool on our toes.

I've said it before; I really like this family. Open to ideas. Full of life. Ready for anything. Thanks for making my "job" easy.

leaving town...

This sweet family has moved out of state. Their mom wanted to get some pictures of the kids before they packed up and headed east. This woman was amazing. Not only did this women have well behaved children, she was also in the middle of packing up their home, painting it, trying to sell it and getting ready to drive 2 states away in less than 3 weeks. If I could bottle her up and sell her I would be rich!

Tara, the oldest, was a professional. She came with moves and was not afraid to use them. The moment I stepped out of my car she was ready to work. She was adorable and was using model poses before I had a chance to say cheese. I loved her energy and life! Mac was all boy - the tractors were a HUGE hit with him. His eyes were this amazing crystal blue; perfection. And baby Kate; she was made for pictures. Super chunky, super cute, looks like a doll.

two of a kind...

I started the session by looking down and noticing that daddy and baby have matching shoes - hello - how cute it that!!!

Another fun afternoon spent talking and walking with this family. Kate was great; I think she loves the camera. Next time we meet I should bring my running shoes, I am sure she will be up and running and will not stand still for me.

a fun family...

A few weeks ago I headed out to Sandy Point to do a maternity session. This wonderful mom is expecting baby number 4! This was my first maternity shoot and I was very excited to document this moment for them.

The family was a pure delight to work with. You can tell these people love each other and love to spend time playing in the bay and having a good time. The son was not happy when I took a few pictures of mama's belly - it was cute the way he scrunched up his face and told me "I am not touching that!"

As I was leaving, I was invited to come back with my family to play anytime. What a great group of people, extending an offer like that left me on a high for quite some time. I hope to make it back out there with my boys someday soon, be on the look out Kacee.
