tulle time - part two

This was my second session with Ms. Maggie. I was looking forward to it for 2 reasons - 1. I wanted to see how big Maggie was and 2. Maggie and her family are a delight to work with.

Mom and dad are down to earth and made me feel welcome the moment I stepped in the door. They are both hands on and excited about the session, this makes my part super easy. Maggie is laid back and happy. I can't get enough of her toothless grin - it lights up her face, so precious.

As we were walking out the door I spotted a ribbon with a huge flower on it, I grabbed it and knew we had to use it in a few shots. At four months, babies will let you do almost anything, Maggie was a sport and I like how it turned out.

Maybe it will be a recurring "prop" in our sessions.

The bubbles are to cute.

looking for the perfect gift...

No time to shop? Hate the thought of driving to the mall and trying to find "the" gift? Well I have a simple solution for you - purchase a gift certificate for a photo session for that person you love.

Not only will you save gas (driving to the mall), paper (no need to wrap anything) and worries (who wouldn't LOVE free photos) but you will feel good getting someone a personal and unique gift.

Give me a call or shoot me an e-mail. I will pop one in the mail in time for that special day. Gift certificates are $60.00 and include everything a regular photo session does (please see side bar).

Happy shopping.

i want to post them all....

Kameron is one of the most adorable babies I have ever seen. I had so many great images that I want to share but I am sure if I post them all I will use up my available space on blogspot.

I was scheduled to do Kameron's new born shots 4 months ago, but something came up and we had to re-schedule the session. He was worth the wait. The family arrived with smiles and were ready to go. One of the greatest things is working with families that love to be a family. Travis and Ambritt were at ease and full of spirit. We chatted about family, how they happened to get to Bellingham, how they meet and everything else in between.

I love to hear people's stories - we all have one. It's the little things that make us up. During a shoot it's fun to interact and get little pieces of each person; I think it puts them at ease and lets me capture who "they" are.

I had a blast guys, hope to see you again.

brothers...

I have a special place in my heart for brothers. Why you ask; I have two brothers and I have two sons. The bond between brothers is strong; built on pillow fights, jumping on beds, fighting for the tv and trying to find out who mom loves more (it's a tie every time boys - moms love you the same).

Last weekend I had a session with two brothers - Aidan and Colin. The oldest was great, all smiles and ready to go the moment he jumped out of the car. His little brother was fabulous despite the cold winds (the sun was out so we thought we would try for an out door session - not sure if that was a good idea).

I love working with kids. They are no nonsense, tell it like it is people. Their real personalities come out fast and they are up for anything. I had fun running around following Aidan as he jumped and laughed. I crawled on the ground trying to keep up with Colin as he crawled wherever he could. In the end they deserved those chicken nuggets they were told they could have it they were good - way to go boys! I can't wait for our next session this summer!

By far my favorite picture!
There is always a "foot" picture.

14 days old...

Fourteen day's old; I tend to forget my babies were this small. I've said it before and I will say it again, I am done having little ones. One of the best things about this "job" is that I get my baby fix without the pain.

Brooke was a sweet, sweet little girl. She had a hint of red hair and crystal clear blue eyes. She was diaper free for the entire shoot and waited till the end to have an accident - I say that is pretty darn good. I am amazed at how laid back mom was; I think I was a basket case 14 days after my first was born. I meet the most amazing ladies doing this - thanks Kelly for letting me do my thing while Brooke was on your arm!

Something about babies heads in the hands of their moms.
How PERFECT is this????
My favorite part - the foot.

Look at this face!
You can still see the blood test marks!
